simple dish |
Ingredients :
1. minced beef or lamb 250 gm's, to get the best flavor of the meat, add fine chopped parsley, spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, black pepper.. etc.depends how spicy you like it.
2. 500 gm's of sliced potatoes.
3. Tahini (sesame puree) 1/4 cup.
4. lemon,1 medium size. you might need half (depends how much you love lemon).
5. Water 2 cups +- .
6. pinch of salt ( 1/2 tea spoon) if you have high blood pressure you better make it less.you need deep baking tray (this is for the baked dish) i cannot remember the measurements , use you imagination and you need oven... for sure if you want to bake it, if not you can put it on a stove (taste is different)
How to Preparation:
1.start shaping the mince beef/lamb by rolling them like fingers (you should get around 10-12 for the above mentioned quantity).
2.Peel and slice the potatoes
3. mix the water with the fresh lemon juice you squeezed out of the lemon .
4. add the Tahini to the mixture and mix all well.
5. don't forget to add the salt for the mixture
6. place the potato slices in the baking tray and the beef finger shape pieces along side with the potatoes.
7. add the mixture of water , tahini and lemon to the thingi thingi
8. cover the tray with aluminium foil and then place it in a pre heated oven 400F or 200c for 30 minutes in the middle.
9. remove the aluminuim foil and leave another 5 minutes for the surface to take some color (trust me it's nice)
